WALK-IN
Step inside the closet for my brand new digital series
If you know me, you know that to me (IYKMYKTTM), fashion is never just about clothes. It is art, history, identity, and storytelling all stitched together. Your wardrobe is not just a place to store garments. It is a living, breathing timeline of your choices, your wild phases and your personal history. Every single piece on the racks tells a story of where we’ve been, who we wanted to be in that moment, and where we are going next.
A closest is a biography. An archive. A crime scene. Sometimes all three.
Every garment tells on us eventually. The vintage jacket we hunted down for six months. The dress we wore on what ended up being the best night of our lives. The shoes we bought instead of therapy after that breakup.
Which brings me to something I've been dying to share…
I am absolutely thrilled to finally fling open the closet doors of WALK-IN, my new digital series premiering right here on Substack.
For years I’ve been fascinated by what clothing reveals about us. I can happily spend an hour discussing the cultural significance of an early-2000s Jeremy Scott collection, but what I’ve always loved most is hearing the stories people attach to the pieces they buy, wear and save.
In each episode of WALK-IN, I step inside the closets of some of the most fascinating people I know. We pull pieces off racks, dig through archives, obsess over construction details, and inevitably end up talking about life, love, loss, ambition, fear, creativity, and the stories hiding inside the clothes.
A closet is where our aspirations live alongside our realities. The couture hangs right next to the emotional support sweatshirt. Where our greatest hits, worst decisions, and sentimental treasures all coexist on the same rack.
And something magical happens when you interview someone there. The usual walls come down. The conversation gets real. Everyone is a little more vulnerable when they’re sitting on a stool between garment bags and shoe boxes.
Season 1 features an incredible lineup of designers, artists, creators, and a few people I’ve spent years wanting to get to know more, and especially see inside their closets.
The first episode premieres on Substack June 18, with new episodes dropping every other Thursday. Subscribe here so you don’t miss an episode, the behind-the-scenes chaos, or the inevitable moments where I get distracted by a fabulous vintage piece and completely lose my train of thought.
Honestly, that’s half the fun.
See you in the closet.
